I went there with my 68-year-old mother. The staff were awesome at all times, going beyond expectations. The hotel is near a white sanded beach, with an awesome view to one of the volcanoes. We only tried Nicaraguan food from the menu, and it was delicious. Ojo de agua is somewhat close, if you get the chance try to go there. The hotel will help you to get a taxi.

Los Cocos provides fairly basic accommodations but what sets them apart is the quality of the staff. Marlon, his family and his staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating every step of the way. The food is typical Nicaraguan fare cooked beautifully with generous portions. We were always met with smiles. As we are practiced our Spanish, the Los Cocos team were patient and worked with us to ensure that expectations were well communicated. They spent time with us and got to know our children. The space is incredibly safe and the location is excellent, being directly across from playa Santa Cruz and the Saturday market. If you need a taxi, Marlon is more than willing to drive you wherever you need to go in a comfortable pick up truck. He can help you arrange horse tours, vehicle rental, kayak tour, hiking tour and whatever else you can imagine on the island. We have returned to Los Cocos twice, and we couldn't imagine staying at any other hotel on Isla de Ometepe!

The staff was exceptional. Helped us out with everything we needed. Always friendly and everything was arranged from the accomodation. The view and the location where amazing. After our 3 night reservation we extended our stay with another 4 nights!

I like the staff and I also like the nature the hotel has , it is very secluded and tranquil , I FELT relax during my stay , I REALLY enjoy the food and the amazing beach lake , the breeze and the wind blowing in my entire body was phenomenal

This was a unique experience open to the elements - be prepared for the sound of waves crashing, wind, insects etc protected well at night by the mosquito net over the bed. Che is very helpful and nothing is a problem. Highly recommend it provided you are prepared for what is on offer.

Location is perfect, great view of the volcano, amazing garden. Lots of birds and howler monkeys. Miguel and his brother were very helpful and nice. Local breakfast prepared just for us by amazing señoras! If you are looking for quite spot with lots of nature this is the place to be.

The owner, Odelba and her family were awesome! So kind and helpful. The place has a great location to do whatever you want to do in Ometepe, very clean, solar energy, great wifi, filtered water, hammocks. All good. We loved it so much that we are staying one more full month!

What a gem of a place! We had the private double room over the kitchen and it had everything we could have needed. It was quiet, clean, and one of the best places we’ve stayed on our CA trip so far. The host was lovely and friendly, laundry was done super quickly. One minor comment was that we would have loved it if the kitchen had a toaster and kettle.
