With a rich mix of influences from Indians, Chinese, Spanish and Americans, Manila is the vibrant capital of the Philippines and its cultural and economic centre. If you’re planning to visit, just a few tips: it can rain anytime, the weather is hot and humid (sweating is normal), traffic can be crazy so plan extra time, and don’t miss the local food — it’s delicious! Manila is rapidly becoming a much nicer place to stay. BGC especially is a very nice area to stay and enjoy.
