Faro is such a lovely city. We had only one night there I really wish we could have stayed longer. Great shops, restaurants, really nice buzz around. There is so much to see and do. The bones church for example, the cathedral and beautiful. I highly recommend if you are flying into Faro spend a full day in Faro.
Lovely old town with intact walls. Not crazy busy like other destinations but we were there in October. In general prices are OK but not cheap. Food was decent but we weren't blown away by what was on offer. A lovely place to visit and explore. Would definitely go back.
Faro was nice. The boat rides to the beach were fun, good choices of places to eat and drink, people were nice and friendly, Fun things to walk to and see. A good place to go and relax and spend money.
Faro is compact enough to see in 2 days. The old town is lovely and will be better when the derelict buildings are renovated . Restaurant is good. We liked O Castelo , the food was excellent, service first class and the Fado singers and players added to the lovely atmosphere . Avoid the little tourist train. It was very uncomfortable/ bumpy. There was no audio explanation on the 45 minute trip which took us round uninteresting areas of the town.
Faro is a beautiful place with friendly people. Its small enough to walk around and has plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. The marina and ferry trips are fantastic with a trip to the Praia de Faro beach being a must! The airpirt is very close and the train station makes it easy to see nearby places such as Tavira which is stunning.
We loved Faro. Great place to explore, lovely restaurants, Dois Irmaos was particularly goo for seafood and typical Portuguese dishes. We went on a boat trip with Formosamar which was brilliant. We went to a deserted island then to Culatra island where you could swim or eat and drink at a place overlooking the ocean. You can also go bird and dolphin watching. It's very easy to walk around Faro, buses and trains are easily accessible to explore the area. The bus goes to the airport every 30 minutes and is just over 2 euros.
This is one of the best apartment we booked in our trip to Portugal. Modern, comfortable, spacious, very clean. Even not been located in the historical side it is walking distance to tourist attractions of Faro. You can find a big supermarket just next to the building, offering all you need including cooked food. We notified our early arrival time, the hoster was waiting for us and allowed us to have access to the apartment which was ready once we arrived. Very nice apartment, safe area, very clean and quite building. I do recommend it.
My friend and I came to Faro for a weekend get away. We arrived too early to check in, but the receptionist recommended a great cafe for breakfast and a few places to visit before check in. Upon check in, the room was neat and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's a small coffee/bar where in the evening I would have a glass of wine. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Also very close walk down to the marina. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great value! 😊 I will be back!
Exceptionally well located modern hotel. Helpful staff. Room and bathroom both were large. Sumptuous hot and cold breakfast buffet; there were so many choices it would be difficult to sample a bit of each at one sitting before one was full. Comfy bed. We only stayed one night while in transit so did not take full advantage of the rooftop lounge and pool. We hope to return to Faro and this is definitely where we will stay.
Faro was our last stop on our trip through Portugal. We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The staff was friendly, had answers to all our questions, and were always available. The room was small and the bathroom was small, but the space was well used. The beds were comfortable, the cleanliness was top notch, the location was good, the shopping center was a 10-minute walk away, and the center was close by.
Excellent small boutique hotel, great price and great location steps from the center of Faro. Only a 5 minute walk to bus and train stations making it easy to get anywhere in Portugal. It is a bit loud from street noise but bring ear plugs and it is totally a great value for a reasonably priced hotel easy walking to all the key sites in Faro. The restaurant is awesome with very fair prices as well.
Very close to the airport. We had to book because our flight had been diverted to Faro thanks to an abusive drunk passenger. The airline didn't sort out accommodation so we had to do it ourselves. Our first time traveling without our families so was super stressful. Hotel were friendly and helpful. Room was basic but clean and exactly what we needed. Really good breakfast too.
Praia de Faro, Faro
Breakfast = disaster.... few salami with cold eggs and bacon with terrible coffee Kind of 4 star hotel and you are forced to stay in the basement with mouldy curtains and broken furniture, just terrible. No good restaurants around just a few poor quality eateries If you decide to stay there just rent a car and go somewhere else where you can feel real Portugal
Location was great! On arrival in Faro we easily walked from bus station to the apartment. Another day we had a short walk, and took a ferry over to the beach - less than €3 ferry trip, had a lovely lunch on the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby. Chelsea cafe around the corner had a great brunch menu, very tasty food.
- We love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for something close to Faro airport - Really friendly staff - Great decor, comfy and well temperature controlled rooms - Great Facilities - Family friendly - Parking - Could walk here from the airport - Nice food at an affordable price
Rooms were beautiful anc extremely clean and comfortable. En suite bathrooms were modern and very clean. We didn't meet hosts but self check in was easy. We thoroughly enjoyed Faro and had the best food of all our holiday in portugal. Lovely city to visit.
It’s a great location for traveling…. Just a few minutes walk to Faro airport. Also there’s a bus stop directly outside of the hotel if you wish to travel into town. The swimming pool at the hotel is beautiful with ample comfy seating or stretch out beds.
Faro
Hosts were delightful and very responsive and helpful. Room was spotless. Shower excellent. Nice touches for us (coming from UK) was adapter for Portugal. Quiet location. We also appreciated being picked up late at night at the airport for 10 euros.
Faro
For short stay in Faro, this hotel is perfect. Of course it is not 5 star hotel, but it is clean, you have a comfortable bed and room has a balcony. Owners of the hotel are friendly. For next time I will not hesitate to book it again.
A lovely 5 star hotel in the center of Faro. Great design, nice large rooms, friendly staff, nice little gym. We loved it. The parking is also made easy (given it's location in the center where cars are not allowed).
Faro
This is a great hotel near the center of Faro with incredibly helpful staff, great facilities and very comfortable rooms. Having a garage underground to store our bike really helped also.
Breakfast at a good value cafe on the beach. Hotel had v good value self service restaurant/bar open early until late. Excellent location about 6km from airport.
We wanted to wrap up our visit to Portugal by spending a couple of nights in Faro. We also want to be close to the airport due to a very early flight.
Praia de Faro, Faro
Literally on the beach, close to the airport and Faro. Clean room and nice view.
