Couldn’t even offer us a clean towel when changing prior to our flight we had to use a wet sandy towel from the beach!! The villa was excellent and the host was a very nice person, if you wanted anything she would get it for you, Lamai is quite peaceful but if you wanted to have more excitement you can go the cheweng which isn't to far, the island of samui is quite small and you can visit it all, make sure you hire a car or scooter,Guest review byjanet - 10

For us this was an expensive stay but worth every cent. There were so many wonderful activities on offer but I just wanted to relax and enjoy the luxuriousness. It is worthwhile taking the half-day island tour because there is so much to see. The Lamai night market is worth a visit. The food is cheap but really tasty. They also have specials on drinks. The first two times we visited Koh Samui we stayed in Bophut near Fisherman's Village. After exploring the island a little more, we came to the conclusion that Lamai was the area we preferred, The beaches were better and sandy compared to Bophut which was more of a slush/muddy fell underfoot. Lamai is so underrated, everyone talks about Chaweng which is busy & expensive. Lamai is very laid-back with a fantastic beach (especially as you head down to the Grandfather and Grandmother rocks. Lots of water activities if that's your thing, or just find a free sunbed & enjoy cheap cocktails and snacks on the beach. Great shopping on the main drag and lots of options for massage, food and drinks. Friendly people too. Samui Namaste is a beautiful Indian restaurant and the Bamboo Bar down on the beach is the best for great service, food and drinks - all reasonably priced. Bungalows are so close to the beach (about 30 m:)) and there is so close to the city and food markets and restaurants from here. Near by is also muay thai camp (5 min walking). Utopia has its own restaurant on the beach where we ate every day good breakfast. There are lots of trees and nature between bungalows. They rent you a motorbike directly at the hotel, so you are mobile from the moment you arrive. If you don’t ride a bike and want get around the island then I suggest you don’t go for this place. Getting a bike is really necessary. The staff were lovely, we even got an upgrade to a sea view room which I trully amazing!!
