Room was beautiful, cosy, warm, comfortable, spacious Staff were lovely and helpful. I loved the Wooden bath tub with the complimentary Herbs and hinoki wood bath soakers which made it smell beautiful and feel relaxed after a day exploring the walkways. Location is perfect, 2mins from the train station. Everything you need at the door step Would stay again 100%

We loved everything. If I could give it 100 stars I would. Imagine waking up to a beautiful sunrise, and heading out to dig into an amazing spread of food made from their own farm, and once you're full to head aside and have tea with the owner. It's perfect.

The hotel was really nice with a wonderful view on the the field. We arrived during the Chinese New Year event and they prepared a hot pot for us. One of the best I ever eat and with option vegetarian. Breakfast was also included, with a buffet, and delicious waffle ! The location is perfect and possibility to walk around a 7 km trail !

The location is strategic to bus stop, old street. Fen qi hu is a small town, mostly attractions is within walking distance. The host is nice. The homestay is maintained by them. The cleanliness really exceed my expectation. Hardly find an old house with such super clean condition that I can't imagine how much effort that they put in this. Comfortness always comes from cleanliness. The room that we booked is small, just able to fit a queen-size bed with a window, facing the car park. The bath towel is small, actually is face towel size. Please take note that there are a lot of guests mentioned in the review. If you mind about this issue, you might need to bring your own. The breakfast is well-prepared by the lady host which all cooked by her. The host is working hard to provide the best service to hostel guests within her abilities, except of the limitation and ages of the house. Thank you.

One of our best stays in Taiwan. A nice house, quite high up the hill, a bit on a side of main touristic route. Since the season was low, it was quiet and very comfortable. Wooden floors and spacious rooms give it a nice atmosphere. We decided to replace breakfast for 7-11 coupons, as we wanted to leave early. No problem to communicate to the stuff and you could pay with a card! You can see some nice views on the way to this place. Good value for money!

We only stayed for one night (we'd recommend two though!) but due to construction work on one of the buildings we got a free room Upgrade and the mountainview from the windows but also generally from everywhere on the Farm grounds was just breathtaking. The food was good and there were even a free Mochi-making Workshop and a little night walk around the Farm included. Even though the letter were completely in chinese (which we don't speek) we still joined and had a lot of fun. We also really enjoyed the calm and quiet atmosphere, and as a Bonus we did not need a car to get to the Farm, as a Shuttle Service from and to the Bus Station in Shizhao for arrival and departure was included. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the trails in that area are easily accessible from the Farm grounds. We enjoyed every second and hope to come back soon!

    This is a rustic location on the side of a mountain, so watch your footing & be prepared for a lack of services. Weekends are very crowded, whereas weekdays are relaxing, but many venues close. The hiking trails are well developed & maintained making this a prime attraction.

    A recommendation for Fenqihu area is to look into visiting...

    A recommendation for Fenqihu area is to look into visiting Da En Na Ya tribal area (Google it). This is a mountain tribe accessible by car on specialty tour visits, or by train from Fenqihu and another 4km of hike. But the tribal area is worth a visit as the tribe runs accommodation, restaurants, a bakery and is self-sufficient. It carries a high level of dignity and pride in interacting with the outside world, and is truly the highlight of my trip to Taiwan.

    The front desk staff was super helpful.

    The front desk staff was super helpful. The breakfast was delicious and had many offerings. The room was spacious, had nice touches such as heated bathroom floors and bed, and each room had special touches that were unique (e.g. our room had glow in the dark stars on the ceiling). The location and views were amazing from our balcony and the property is very close to wonderful attractions, such as HeHuan Mountain. The only challenge we had was finding the property, which is located in a narrow road behind a market parking lot.

    There are several trails around the hotel that suitable for every body to explore. The views are excellent. Nearby restaurant recommended by the hotel owner is nice and delicious. We enjoyed very much. Fenchihu is a small village with many friendly people and beautiful environments. I like it very much.
