Beautiful boutique hotel in a Georgian building, that is very well kept. They added all these nice touches with the music playing from the radio in the room and being able to play records from the record player in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely. The location is just next to the Pulteney bridge, but it’s just outside of the main city centre, so it’s a little quieter.

Dating back to 1880, this fine Victorian mansion is set 15 minutes’ stroll from the centre of Bath.

Wonderful hotel right in the centre of Bath's Royal Crescent. The staff were perfect, helpful and attentive. Many small details marked the stay, which shows the quality of the establishment (magnificent building, splendid interior). The room we stayed in (we had an upgrade) was on the back side of the hotel and had its own little terrace; it was very large with a bedroom area, a ‘sitting’ room, a very large bathroom and an entrance hall. We had no direct neighbours, so the room was very, very quiet. The breakfast was excellent (small buffet, and menu offering different types from full English to eggs benedict, and a vegetarian menu). The spa was very pleasant (too bad the sauna wasn't working, but the hammam, bubble bath and swimming pool were). We went there often and there were never more than 5 of us in the spa. We had also booked a treatment (‘work it out’ massage), which was absolutely brilliant (many thanks to Meg)!

Location is perfect . Staff are so helpful and lovely . Decor is subtle and sneaks up on you the longer you stay there . Food is supplied by only Michelin star in Bath , enough said . Great stay if you are into unpretentious luxury .

excellent service. we had an issue with the shower and the staff were brilliant, sorting it out and making sure there was no inconvenience to us. how a hotel responds to an issue, is always the best measure of their true customer service levels.
