Fantastic location, everywhere is very walkable. Room was large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was also big and had a powerful shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. I would recommend and if back in Riga will stay again.

We were travelling through Scandinavia and the Baltic States, with light general aviation aircraft, and had planned to land in Riga and stay at the Rixwell Old Riga Palace too visit Riga. However, on sunday 23 june, while flying from Estonia, we encoutered poor weather, and had to divert to land and spend the night in Kuresaare. We contacted the hotel in Riga and they kindly waived the no-show fee. The weather was unfortunately still very bad on Monday 24, thus we flew directly from Kuresaare to Kaunas, Lithuania, without landing in Latvia. Let's hop we can return to Riga inthe future, and we would definitely stay at the Rixwell Old Riga Palace !
