Skip Amsterdam and go straight to Haarlem... This hotel is beautiful. I loved it so much I'm booking a trip to go back, the room was spectacular high ceiling, terrace area, your own in room spa which is a lovely surprise so you'll have to stay here to find out, mini bar was included as part of our stay which stocked top shelf spirits and Bottega Prosecco, also iron, hairdryer, coffee machine & kettle with plenty of coffee and tea, there was also free treats left out in the hallways from chocolate muffins to lollypop, breakfast served to your room, Staff were extremely helpful and friendly they made us feel like VIP"s with their 5 star treatment. Looking forward to my next stay.

The hotel is in an exceptional location with excellent facilities, you do not need to communicate with anyone to finish check-in/out process, everything can be done on the machine. The room is fully operated by iPad which is super easy to do, the breakfast was great, staffs are very helpful and cheerful. The room is small but has everything you need, perfect for solo traveler that needs a layover. It is literally 3 minutes walk to arrive if you find the right exit, the instruction is listed in Hotel’s FAQ.

Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim-Leiden is located next to highway A44, which leads to Leiden, The Hague, Amsterdam and Noordwijk. Train station Sassenheim is a 10 minute walk to the hotel.

Hotel is modern and stylish. We liked lobby bar with delicious desserts and coffee. Breakfast was awesome: fresh vegetables, fruits, smoothies, buns and a lot more. There is a nice game room in the hotel where can take boardgames.
