The staff were brilliant Samuel and his team couldn’t do enough for me. Very welcoming and helpful.
I loved the retro feel to the hotel. It was like going back to the 1960s. Bedroom was adequate, air conditioning worked well. I had a lovely balcony looking over the street.
It’s a bit old fashioned, this is the type of hotel I imagine Kim Philly the spy living in (if he lived in Tel Aviv rather than Beirut).
I liked the communal bathrooms. It was like being back at boarding school, except the shower water was hot and the pressure better.
Tel Aviv is an expensive city. I’m sure Drisco’s Hotel next door is more comfortable but you would be paying at least five times more. It’s good value for money.
The location was excellent. Ten minutes walk to Old Jaffa town centre. 15 minutes to the port and excellent fish restaurants. Five minutes walk from the beach. Very near the Elfelet light rail station.
