The location, the cleanliness, the hospitality, the breakfast every morning was also amazing!!! Parking assistance was a big help. The staff are super friendly and very helpful! Definitely coming back to this place next visit! Heating in the room helped alot as we visited during a colder season time! Cannot beat those amazing views from the rooms!! Thank You Vito! The rooms were very spacious and very nicely decorated, a real feeling of luxury. Almost a shame to leave your room! The hotel is located right in the old town of Matera. The breakfast was very extensive and delicious!

The best stay of our trip! Such a special place in the heart of the beautiful Matera. We were warmly welcomed after our taxi ride booked by the hotel. Anne explained us everything about Matera with great recommendations! She showed us to our beautiful room in an old matera house. The hotel has an amazing aesthetic that resonates well with the city. The breakfast is also very much appreciated with nice music.

This is a fabulous cave hotel!!! Our room was incredible with a fabulous jacuzzi. You cannot beat the location. We looked at numerous cave hotels and decided with this one. It was just perfect! We highly recommend it.

The location was tricky to get to, but that is not the hotel's fault. They are accessible only by foot due to the way the ancient town was built. I received excellent recommendations from the hotel about parking for our rental car. There is a secure parking building about 15 minutes walk away that cost 20 euro per day, although this is not the only option. The reception staff were excellent and organised for our luggage to be taken to our room - much appreciated considering the cobbled paths around the hotel. The room was large, quiet and well appointed. The included continental breakfast was adequate and the spa facilities were a nice addition.

It was simply amazing! We fell in love with this Sassi! We booked a normal room, nevertheless the staff offered us the suit for no difference in the price. It was the best stay we ever had - so authentic to the city and in the same time comfy! After a long day of experiencing Matera (lots of walking and climbing) we were able to enjoy the bathtub and had a great rest! The breakfast was also very delicious. We recommend this property with both hands! ❤️
