Location is in the heart of Medina, quick to call a taxi and get anywhere in Essaouria. Or just simply walk 5 minutes to the local streets to explore what the city has to offer. Omar and his staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond in terms of service, attitude, friendliness. You will be treated with the utmost respect and care here at Riad Dar Awil. Not to mention the delicious food - literally a feast fit for royalty. Every dish was absolutely delicious. Room was clean and there is a cleaner to come tidy your room (even folded up some clothes I had lying around). Can't recommend enough. Thanks for the amazing experience here. Will definitely be back whenever in Essaouria

Redouane helped me when I lost my passport and contacted the local police department. His service was attentive but not overbearing. He and his kitchen assistant provided an amazing breakfast on the roof terrace speaking multiple languages to a variety of guests. I would definitely return

The rooms are beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and great showers. The towels were nice large hotel style. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in Morocco to date. We originally booked for one night but stayed for two. So got to enjoy two different rooms.

This very old house has been beautifully restored by its owners while keeping an ambience of its historic past The welcome and care we received from the ever present manageress Hyatt and her staff could not have been better. The roof top breakfasts were delicious and the adjoining sun lounge was the perfect spot to relax An amazing location set in a quiet alley with a minute’s walk to the Main Street of the Medina It was difficult to leave and if we do get the opportunity to return to Essaouira we definitely will stay in Ryan Watier

I booked this property because of the colour and uniqueness of the hotel and it didn't disappoint absolutely beautiful rooms and spaces and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ocean and Medina Wall's made my heart sing each morning. The location was perfect, close to everything and easy to find if you happen to get lost whilst walking around the old Medina, often my goal.

The property features a beautiful rooftop terrace and a stylish interior. The staff were exceptionally polite and always ready to help. We arrived earlier than the official check-in time, and they kindly prepared our room in advance. After check-out, they also allowed us to store our luggage until our bus departure. A clean and spacious place to unwind, with the most spectacular view of the ocean, fort and fishermen. It was the perfect location for me to work on my laptop, watching the ocean scene all day. Good light and views. The sunsets were amazing. A quiet little oasis with the Medina right outside.
