We stayed here while we visited the west of Iceland and the national park. The apartment was clean, beds were nice. Recently remodeled bathroom. Living area and kitchen were adequate. Nice to have laundry included, although we didn’t use it. Neighborhood was safe with a nice restaurant nearby.

The most amazing view I have ever experienced in a hotel. We had a corner room with a view of the sea from 2 sides. It was incredible. Location is spectacular. Very peaceful and extremely remote. The hotel was comfortable, the room was spacious and uniquely oldy -worldy with monogrammed towels and luxurious bathrobes. It wasn’t cheap, but it was well worth it.

Kast Guesthouse is a good place to stop for an overnight between scenic locations. They have a small eating place where breakfast and dinner is served. Dinner was limited to 3 options but it was fantastic options. Breakfast selection was also very good.
