The Rooms at the Apple Pie was perfectly located in the centre of Ambleside, an easy walk to all of the shops. Our room was an attic room - the ceiling definitely is a bit low for someone who is tall, but it was a great size and very comfortable, we had a great sleep. There was an honesty bar system for cokes and crisps among other things, but we had both breakfast and lunch (and an apple pie) from the delicious bakery and cafe next door. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was very good. The location was excellent, in the town, but it was quiet. It was ideal for hiking, with plenty of choices where to go. In the accommodation itself, the bathroom was good with a decent shower, the bed was comfortable, there was tea and coffee in the room and the host was friendly and helpful. I hope to stay there next year.

The loving treatment from the folks who took care us! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like valued friends dare I say family. Thanks to all who took care of us! Breakfast, brought to us by Johanna 🥰, was delicious, hot and filling! PS For fellow dog lovers - Our BFFF, Nat, was treated like a Prince and he really loved running up the stairs to our room. The sunroom provided a great space to clean him off, after a ramble, before bringing him into the house. This property is ideally suited for taking morning strolls into town and beyond!

Brathay Hall is the residential training center of Brathay Trust. It provides double, twin and single en-suite rooms on a room only basis, which are located around the site.

I had a wonderful stay at Brathay Hall. The location is absolutely stunning, nestled by the lake with breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. The accommodation was comfortable and well-kept, making it a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy nature.

In the Lake District, Ambleside Central is a tall Victorian building, offering room-only accommodation with period features over three floors. Please bare in mind that there is no lift/elevator.

Lovely clean room and the hot drinks were replenished often, we never ran out. Very helpful manager who let us in and gave us codes which were sent to whatsapp. Unfortunately, I had not updated my number with Booking.com so I never received them, totally my fault, but the codes by email as well as/ instead of WhatsApp should be considered.
