Mountain Ecolodge se encuentra en Gubukklakah, a 23 km de Velodrome Malang y a 24 km de Bentoel Museum. This is the biggest surprise of my Indonesia trip! This place located in a small town near Malang. It runs by a family and Mrs. Mary took 2 of her independent rooms as hotel. There is super nice mountain view and the whole atmosphere is sooo chill. The room is quite big. The host even gave us some passion fruits and papaya grown from their farm. It is not far from Mt. Bromo and Tumpak Sewu - both takes 1.5h to drive there. There are hardly any tourists in this small town and when we were walking to a restaurant, the people were so curious and greeting us friendly, the kids on the street waved to us and say hello. It was such an amazing experience! The sunset of with rice field view in the small town is also really really beautiful. There is also a good and modern restaurant 20 min walk from our stay and it is designed to see the sunset with a big balcony, the food is very nice too

Really liked the nice neighborhood and the size of the homestay- high ceilings and spacious social area felt like a comfortable family home. Our host set up our trekking tour for us with a great guide- everything included- which was so easy, and we had great laundry service done. Water, tea and coffee available to self-serve and beer was available for purchase- nice details!

Los anfitriones y el lugar en su conjunto. Muy amables y serviciales nos ayudaron en todo, lástima que no se pudiese acceder al volcán al estar en alerta por la actividad. La habitación fantástica con el cuarto de baño también estupendo. El sitio es muy agradable y tranquilo, además ofrecen comidas que están muy bien y se puede dar un buen paseo por los alrededores.

The accomodation was cozy and beautiful, but the best part of this accomodation is the owners, they are absolutely amazing so helpful and kind. El chico que nos recibió nos ubicó en un alojamiento diferente al reservado, justo en frente de la estación de tren, con todas las comodidades! Estuvimos súper cómodos! Hicimos el tour al Ijen con ellos y estuvo bien organizado.

Thanks to our amazing host, we were able to walk up to Bromo and Mt. Batok just as we wanted, avoiding the crowds and groups. Davi was wonderful—he gave us the best tips to explore the area, and we enjoyed unforgettable hikes with stunning sunset and sunrise views. The room was comfortable, with a hot shower—everything we needed. We definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a more authentic experience. For meals, we had lunch and dinner on a beautiful terrace just a few minutes’ walk from the homestay.

Ni_Er Guesthouse by Mr.Tsabalala se encuentra en Panjunan, a 30 km de Parque Nacional Bromo Tengger Semeru y a 32 km de Mount Lamongan. Nice, clean and comfy room. Staff was super nice and they helped me organize a great tour to Tumpak Sewu! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good place in Lumajang!
