What an incredible stay! Moomin Papa and Mama spared no effort in ensuring everything was absolutely perfect. Not only was there a convenient shuttle bus stopping right outside Pension Moomin Papa to transport guests to the ski resorts, but whenever the shuttle didn't reach our desired destination, Moomin Papa graciously drove us wherever we needed to be. The private onsen provided a rejuvenating experience after a full day of skiing. Additionally, a delicious Western-style breakfast was provided every morning for only 1000 yen, adding to the exceptional value of our stay

If you’re looking for an easy going vibe and the lowdown on the very best places to ski or board, look no further than Kitsune. Dave and Lisa are so easy to deal with and made us feel so welcome that we turned our 2 day trip into 7! They made our trip so convenient from picking us up and shuttling us to/from skiing and the train station, to booking us suppers at the best restaurants, spas and onsens and day trips. Do yourself a favour and stay here, you will not regret it!

The owners are awesome and went above and beyond to help us get around, and with anything else we needed. Nice comfy beds and a nice bar/dining area with a good vibe. Thanks for having us!

Funky Monkey Lodge, Myoko ファンキーモンキーロッジ 妙高 se encuentra en Myoko, a 34 km de Templo Zenkoji, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. Everything! This place is impossible to fault. I've traveled, and nowhere are the people so helpful with there time and unbelievably thoughtful.

A short walk to Akakura Onsen Ski Lift and Town by Japow House se encuentra en Myoko, a 34 km de Templo Zenkoji, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y... Japow is just what you need for ski vacation. Clean, confortable, very friendly stuff and great location. Not a fancy place. I highly recommend for families

Guest House Bunk se encuentra en Myoko, a 32 km de Templo Zenkoji, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. We stayed at Guesthouse Bunk for two nights in mid-May. We were the only guests as this was the low season, but we still had a very fun time. The location was exceptionally peaceful and we enjoyed falling asleep with the sounds of the nearby forest around us. We enjoyed the breakfast each day very much. The area is ski-oriented so there weren't many businesses open. Still, we enjoyed a bit of hiking to nearby onsen towns like Tsubame Onsen. Sasa-san was even kind enough to prepare a curry rice at the last minute when we arrived after we discovered that all of the nearby restaurants were closed.

Akakura Akarien se encuentra en Myoko, a 33 km de Templo Zenkoji, y ofrece restaurante, habitaciones libres de humo, wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento y bar. Great location! We were able to walk less the 5 minutes to wherever we needed to go. (Restaurants, bars, rental shops, ski resorts.) we were in Japan for about 3 weeks and stayed at multiple hotels and it was by far my favorite! On top of that they served the best breakfast!! Super unique dishes that were absolutely divine! The staff were out of this world helpful, generous, and kind! Super clean environment, beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was exactly what you needed after a full day of snowboarding! Carlo!!!!! Which is the owner, he was extremely welcoming, very personable, helpful, communicative. Traveling to a new country to snowboard, he was kind enough to take us out exclusively and show us around the mountain so we were comfortable and felt safe. On top of that, we had some trouble with shipping our boardbag, Carlo was kind enough to go out of his way to the deliver the bag to the company himself. He really made our into trip memorable! This staff made us feel like family! Shout out Connor, best bartender in Myoko!

Hotel Mumon está en Myoko, a 34 km de Templo Zenkoji, y dispone de alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, parking privado gratis, jardín y salón de uso común. Incredibly warm and friendly staff, we felt so welcome and comfortable the entire stay. Was great having a large lounge downstairs with a bar and food available so we could gather there together with friends who were staying at nearby lodging. It’s a short walk to all the activity/restaurants on the main drag, and to the ski lift/ticket office. Facilities are older but very clean and we never lacked for anything. We appreciated the fresh hot tea and treats each afternoon in the room, and great breakfast/coffee each morning. Shinja, Kenji, Hitomi and their families were so sweet and incredibly helpful with everything to make sure we had an enjoyable visit. We are planning to stay at Hotel Mumon again on any future visits to the area!
