This kind of people makes the difference when traveling like we do, where the main goal is to enjoy the culture and people, as much as the places we visit. Allen went way beyond expectations on helping us with whatever we may need (from train schedules, arranging a great driver for a day-long tour, giving us recommendations for local places, to taking his bike and buying us some cold beers after hours, or getting up to prepare us an unusually early morning breakfast to go, due to our very early schedule), overall making us feel like his true guests despite the commercial relationship. Well-travelled, Jaffna-native but with many years in Europe, Allen is the kind of person that you hope you have more time to get to know better, and that will remain as a highlight of any trip. The property is his own home, where you rent some rooms. It is a very quiet spot in a green and shady compound in a cul-de-sac, a great respite from some of the Jaffna frenzy. Located a quick 5-min. tuk-tuk ride from the train station, it is also near the main Hindu temple of the city, a couple of blocks away. The room we rented had its own exclusive bathroom, but crossing the living room. There was another room with a full private bathroom, not available at the time. The house has a quaint feeling, very cozy and clean. The AC in the room worked fine and it was very welcomed. Breakfast was great, abundant and tasty, prepared by Allen on the spot.

Great location, just off the road making it very peaceful at night. Good air con and fan. Great size room with balcony overlooking the garden and plantation. Good host and Sri Lankan breakfast. They also do laundry, which was a god sent in a city with no laundrettes.

Just the best. The rooms are spacious. The AC nice and cold plus the ceiling fan aids further in cooling the space down after a long day out in the Sri Lankan heat. the showers are quite exceptional by Sri Lankan standards (good pressure, hot water, and somewhat separated/divided from the rest of the bathroom). Bed was comfy and the room even had a desk and a place to hang clothes which were nice bonuses.

I had a wonderful experience staying here on a recent work trip. The location is incredibly convenient, just a 600-meter walk from the Jaffna railway station. What truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. I had to travel at an inconvenient time, but the staff were extremely accommodating and graciously adjusted my check-in time. They were very friendly, and the entire place was neat and pleasant. I even received a delicious cup of tea, which was a lovely, welcoming touch. With several food shops also within walking distance, it has everything you need. I will definitely be staying here again for all my future work trips to Jaffna. Highly recommended!

Excellent spacious and clean ac room and bathrooms. Quite comfortable for me, my wife and 2 children. A very good common kitchen with drinking water, coffee making facilities, refrigerator, tv etc. Spacious courtyard in front of the room, my kids enjoyed playing there. Mr Prasath and family, the owner of the property are very caring, friendly and a good person, who helped us to easily get into the location and arranged our return by tuk tuk guided for good food. There are nearby restaurants that serve authentic jaffna foods at a moderate rate. The location is very convenient for moving to and from the city, etc. Old and famous temples nearby as well.
