We had the most wonderful stay here. The hosts are very special people, who welcome you with open arms into their family home. The room was very comfortable and we slept so deeply! Everything was amazing. The place, the house, the rooms, the view from everywhere on the property and especially from the roof, the breakfast is so good and the quiet pool next door overlooking mountains and jungle is perfect around sunset. But the best was the people there. Piyal and his wife makes this place so warm and unique, you feel the love they feel for and put into this place and they welcome you like family. I left with a full heart. Thank you.

The room is clean, spacious and the VIEW!! Absolutely amazing property. The room’s entrance is through the guest kitchen which is very convenient when travelling with kids and is super clean. Also, Ayesha was very attentive and the breakfast they made were the best we had through our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka.

Everything here was perfect. The bed was comfortable, shower was hot with great pressure, everything clean and well looked after. It is very peaceful and quiet, and the view of the mountains and river is better than any TV ! The private balcony added extra comfort. Surrounded by green trees and monkeys. The breakfast was superb, deliciously home cooked. Suresh even gave me equipment to cut some fruits I bought in the evening. Dinner and lunch is available for an extra cost, and the dinner I had was equally delicious! Suresh and his wife have created a beautiful place for travellers to stay. I came here after Dhamma Kuta, and it was exactly what I needed. I recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you so much.

We loved everything about this place! We were only sad we couldn't stay longer. Deer Hill is run by such a welcoming and kind family who were the highlight of our stay. They prepared an exceptional breakfast and dinner for us each day and saw to our every need. They even arranged a van for us to go to Pidarungala Rock and drove us there as a family! 🥹 The rooms and living area at Deer Hill are spacious and comfortable, and the view from the balcony was just lovely. The place is located in such a beautiful environment close to nature, without being too far from the city. It's perfect! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Kandy 🩵

Above and beyond expectations and previous reviews were great. Beautiful environment, and a balcony better than any other we've found, superbly clean.owner and his wife are wonderful hosts, home cooked food was the best we've tasted in Sri Lanka. A dream place, we are already planning our return trip. We've stayed in many places in Sri Lanka, this is the best and incredible value.

    An absolute gem of a homestay. The hosts were friendly and helpful, the room and the bathroom — spotlessly clean, the bed — comfy, dinner and breakfast that the lady owner cooked for me — filling and tasty. What more is there to ask for?

    The owner were very helpfull, they picked us from the busstation for free. It's possible to get tasty local food (breakfast, lunch & dinner). It's possible to fly the drone from the rooftop or doing Yoga. We would recommend the homestay.
