Paparei is a lovely low key friendly convenient and very scenic and pleasant location. My favourite things were sitting on the deck watching the heron stalking fish, the chickens clucking around and the locals coming down to enjoy the water. I also enjoyed the antics of the common mynas even though the are an introduced species they are very charismatic. I also loved the adjacent Cafe Wokkai! 2 minutes to fish and chips I could bring back to eat on the deck?! Yes please!!

Everything, the staff, the atmosphere, the locals.. was all great. Was even surprised by the prices of goods in some of the shops. Overall, it was an excellent time spent with my son and his girlfriend. Keep it up, Aitutaki.

Great location for snorkelling etc. Great host who was able to take to take us out on his boat to see the whales, turtles, clams etc for an excellent price and who also had local knowledge of the area. Groovy little huts to stay in.

We had such a wonderful time staying here, everything we needed in our room, wonderful sunsets on the beach right there, snorkeling and everything else just a short scooter-ride away. And Nikki is such a super-lovely host! Meitaki maata Nikki! :)

Location was out of this world!!! Matthias was a great host, he really made our trip special, there was nothing he couldn't do. The beach and snorkelling were just amazing. The island was magical.

great location, a number of little shops within 100 metres. The takeaway and grocery shop within walking distance is the place to meet the locals. The people are so friendly. Our hosts have scooters and bikes so its all organised for you, the hosts are so awesome.
