We made a slight upgrade when arriving to the property for a nicer view. The location was great, we were provided amazing recommendations, even a last minute tour guide (that met us at our location when our tour guide didn’t show. We felt like family and like we were taken care of, looked after, with genuine kindness. The property was clean, smelled nice, no issues with mold (it’s frequent in India). Don’t bother looking at other properties, this is the one!

Marina Homestay is very cozy and comfy, we stayed as a group of friends and we really enjoyed it. We could cook our meals, the kitchen is very well equipped, the rooms are very neat,, hot shower, nice mattress and space in the rooms, the place is very silent and peaceful as well. I definitely recommend it! Also it's very near the Tara Temple and Tergar Temple, so it was very good to go there to visit! Probably our best stay in all of India! We arrived in Gaya on the train after 3am. Sumit the owner waited for us to arrive and helped us navigate with our tuk tuk driver from the station. The location is walking distance to restaurants and temples. Room was.perfectly clean, and the AC was great! I would recommend for single travelers or couples. Senamura Yoga Ashram Guesthouse is situated in Bodh Gaya, 2.8 km from Bodh Gaya Bus Station, 3.4 km from Thai Monastery, as well as 4.1 km from Great Buddha Statue. The property has garden and quiet street views, and is 2.8 km from Mahabodhi Temple. The property offers bike hire and features a garden and sun terrace. If you want to experience the local culture while supporting a good cause, this is the place to do so! We felt very welcome in the family and as we visited during the festival we got taken along to all the ceremonies the festival entails. This was a truly unique experience which we are very happy to have been a part of. Furthermore the guesthouse is next to the school it supports so you can easily pay a visit there too. The place is just outside of town, so this gives some peace from the busy city. But it can be reached easily by tuktuk (although you might need to help a bit with the navigation) from the temple area of bodh gaya. The guesthouse serves a simple but delicious breakfast and dinner as well as an assortment of hot drinks. Beds are basic but comfortable, so is the shower with reliable hot water. The guesthouse can also arrange other touristic excursions or transportation with a good driver and comfortable car. They are however not the cheapest option in this category.
