We wish we spoke better Japanese so we could have talked more. They were such interesting people.

The house is very beautiful, well renovated with very good taste.Three toilets but only one bathroom.The owner and the staff are very kind and full of service mind. We have barbecue with karaoke , singing and dancing with the best audio equipment..The owner well prepared everything for our group including the heater on the floor. We all very appreciated for the hospitality, will come back again.

Minshuku Hiroshimaya se encuentra en Kumamoto, a 1,8 km de Residencia Hosokawa Gyobutei, y ofrece alojamiento con salón de uso común, parking privado gratis y terraza. The location and owners make this homestay special. The latter is at the foot of a historic and important Buddhist shrine and resting place of Kato Kiyomasa, builder of the Kumamoto Castle, while the former are generations-old family of soba makers. While breakfast didn't come with soba, it was one of the best I've eaten in Japan. The space is comfortable, traditional and has everything you may need, including excellent views of the city.

All in all a perfekt stay. Especially the hosts were really great. On my leaving day they had a trip planed into the same direction I was heading. Not only did they bring me to the harbor, we also had a little sightseeing tour on the way :)

Very beautiful, clean guesthouse that was renovated from an old japanese home. The owners are both very kind and went out of their way to make my stay as nice as possible. You can tell that they really care about this place! Aso station (startpoint for the tour bus) can be reached in around 20 mins with bus or train. At night it is quiet and even in the summer surprisingly cool. I highly recommend to stay here if you are visiting Aso!

Omusubi share house JAPANEZE STYLE ofrece alojamiento en Mamihara, a 50 km de Lake Ezu. We were slightly sceptical about this place as it only had two reviews, but we are so glad we booked. This was a great guesthouse with traditional Japanese rooms in a gorgeous village. The host was incredibly helpful (even walking us to a local restaurant to make sure we got a space as everywhere was fully booked). We felt incredibly welcome, had comfy beds, a lovely room, and everything we needed.
