The house is beautiful and in a nice neighbourhood. We got a warm welcome and enjoyed the stay very much. The view into the garden was like in the picture - lovely. The tatami-room was elegant and cozy. We were happy to enjoy the hospitality of the host family. Arigatou gouzaimasu!

I love how the space feels like coming back home, the owner is really kind, funny and I enjoy talking with him and other travelers. We sat all together and had some fun.time. The room I stayed in was a dormitory, the futon mattress was comfortable. I enjoyed the location as well. Even though it's a 30 min walk to the station, it's a really historical area and you will enjoy walking around. I highly recommend it!.

The host was super friendly! It had a homely feel and I felt very comfortable here. We also had a BBQ together on the front deck!

Trato familiar y acogedor que vuelven inolvidable la experiencia de Hiraizumi. Una habitación tradicional, un desayuno espectacular y una conversación amigable con la familia Suzuki. Él me recomendó un restaurante cercano muy bueno y luego me llevó en coche a un onsen cercano donde relajarme del día. Fueron amables en todo momento y aunque solo me alojé una noche, guardo muy buen recuerdo de mi estancia.

Matakitai está en Ichinoseki, a 14 km de Templo Motsuji, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y salón de uso común. La casa es espectacular. El propietario lo tiene todo muy bien montado con instrucciones claras sobre la cocina, el baño, las habitaciones, información sobre las atracciones turísticas más cercanas, las tiendas y un largo etc. El desayuno es muy barato y buenísimo!! Además, te deja elegir hora entre las 6 y las 9 de la mañana para preparártelo. Para llegar hasta la casa hay que bajarse en la estación de Mataki y está a unos 5 minutos caminando. No hay demasiados trenes durante el día pero sí los suficientes teniendo en cuenta que es una zona rural, tan solo hay que saber el horario que tienen.

Guest House Chara se encuentra en Hirosaki, a 34 km de Parque arqueológico de Sannai-Maruyama y a 3,5 km de Castillo de Hirosaki. We spent three wonderful days in Hirosaki, a charming and authentic town that still feels untouched by mass tourism. It was refreshing to explore a place where the pace is slower and the culture feels so genuine. The absolute highlight of our stay was Guest House Chara, run by the kindest elderly couple, Fusao and Toshiko. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home—it wasn’t just a place to sleep, it truly felt like staying with family. Their house told a story, filled with warmth, history, and the little personal touches that made it feel lived-in and loved. From the amazing homemade breakfast to the delicious ramen dinners they prepared, every meal was made with care and love. The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from a supermarket and a laundromat, which made things really easy for us. This personal, welcoming experience truly made our trip special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, off-the-beaten-path experience in Japan. ありがとうございます

Uchi Matsushima Guesthouse se encuentra en Matsushima, a 23 km de Sendai City Community Support Center y a 5 min a pie de Entsuin Temple. Property was very comfortable, had everything we needed and was impeccably clean. The host is a great and kind man who we had a great time chatting with. He truly cared about our comfort and went out of his way to help us with any questions we had. Thank you H!

Petit Resort Hotel Der Barte es un alojamiento de 3 estrellas que se encuentra en Zao Onsen, a 8 min a pie de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen, y que dispone de jardín, restaurante y bar. Fantastic location, right on Uwanodai slope - actual ski-in ski-out. Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was great and good value. Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.

Shukubo Kanbayashi Katsukane se encuentra en Tsuruoka, a 24 km de Acuario Kamo Aquarium, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Overall fantastic experience. Hosts extremely helpful and friendly. Could not do enough to make our stay wonderful. Arrangement of last minute taxis to get us up and off the mountains at either end of Dewa Sanzan was done extremely quickly and well. Food amazing. A truly fantastic and memorable experience. Thank you so much.

Pension Puutaro se encuentra en Zao Onsen, a 6 min a pie de Estación de esquí Zao Onsen, y ofrece jardín, habitaciones libres de humo, wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento y restaurante. If only I could rate the hotel more than a 5 star, I will. 1. The owner/host both are so accommodating, helpful and is super kind. I experiences the real Japan omotenashi (hospitality) thru them. Especially the lady owner, she goes a long way to make your stay comfortable and as convenient as it is. She even help call a reservatuon for taxi. 2. The accommodation feels homey. Clean, comfortable and spacious. I slept in a Japanese style room that has futon and Kotatsu. The kotatsu is so comfortable that you dont want to get off them. The Heating is also excellent so the room is warm. 3. The room is equipped with air cleaner, fridge, tv & there is also available himidifier that you can use if needed. Basic amenities are provided too and a yukata. There is a common toilet on the second floor and so as the basement. Microwave is also available for use if you warm your food and the owner can lend you plates and utensils. 4. The nearest onsen is 3 minutes by foot and the owner will give you the 100¥ coupon discount if you use the nearest day onsen spa. 5. The location is perfect just a minute walk to the main ropeway station that’ll take you to the snow monster. 5 minutes walk to the convenience store, 7 minutes walk to the bus terminal and has few good restaurants around. 6. The breakfast is also delicious and hearty. The hotel has big dry room for your ski/snowboard gears and cheaper ski lift tickets if you buy from the hotel. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely come back again next winter season.
