If you are a dog lover, ask if you can play with their really sweet golden retriever (you might not see him, as he is most of the time on the backyard of the building). If you are strong enough, ask if you can take him for a walk. He will be very grateful for that.

The overall experience of staying at Mr Bawa’s Home was just exceptional. The house, its design and history are beautiful. What made the experience even more outstanding and memorable was the incredibly kind staff led by Rohana. We will always cherish our stay at Mr Bava’s place and hope to be back one day soon.

Arcade Independence Square is 4 km away and Sinhalese Sports Club is 4.1 km from the guest house. Beautiful property in a tranquil spot by the river, wonderful service and such friendly staff. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay more! We arrived early in the day and were offered breakfast and they were also able to have our room ready early, which was fantastic! Can't recommend Aathma Colombo House enough. We had a few hours exploring Colombo and it was quick to get to the city by Tuk Tuk.

Breakfast consisted of delicious traditional Sri Lankan food and the home and pool were very clean and well looked after. We would definitely stay again if we return to Sri Lanka.
