It was Crystal clean. So perfect to stay. There was not an ounce of dust anywhere. Even the bathrooms were so clean despite being shared. I was sceptical of booking because I was traveling with my family. But in fact my parents loved the stay too.

The floors were clean, and the design of the bathroom area is nice. I got into a mild motorcycle accident during my stay, and the hostel manager was very helpful in helping me tape up the wounds. The hostel manager also provided good food recommendations in the area. I also liked how the manager was receptive to suggestions for the hostel.

Really enjoy this place in Penang! The host is very friendly and give big help for customers. Place is clean, comfortable and convineint. If I go back to Penang, I will choose Aayu Chulia again !

I really liked this hostel :) The staff and owner were exceptionally nice! Also, the rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable. Even though, the common area is rather small, it was a great space to have a cup of coffee and meet the other guests there! Would 100% recommend 😁

Staff was really helpful and kind, fast replies on Whatsapp from the host and he even sent us recommendations where to eat and what to see! Room was clean and cozy, perfect for a short stay. Location was the best, close to everything and there are nice places to eat and bars nearby :)
