The hotel owners are the nicest and most humble people anyone will have the joy of residing with. It’s not often you get to see and chat face-to-face with the business owners. The hotel rooms are spacious enough for groups of four to rest. Having two toilets, two sinks and two showers avoids lines in the morning. The morning breakfasts are well prepared and tasty, maybe some of the best apples, milk, bread, and juice I’ve ever tried. The beautiful scenery around the hotel is a plus. The air is so fresh and water so clean, drinkable from the tap even. If you have kids be sure to get to know the animals, especially the friendly donkey!

The location in nature but close to the beach and the coastal village of Ea, the many beautiful hiking options, the modern but cosy house with plenty of inside and outside spaces to enjoy company or relaxing, the rooms and abundant facilities, the view.. all deserve a 10/10, but what truly made my stay memorable was het hospitality of Joanna’s family. The way they treat their guests makes everybody feel welcome. Plan a few days extra in this one of a kind home away from home, you’ll thank me later!

LATROUPE La Granja es un alojamiento con una buena ubicación en el centro de Bilbao que ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado, salón de uso común, wifi gratis y bar. En pleno centro, todo a un paso, estación de metro justo al lado del hotel, desayuno excelente y buena relación calidad-precio. La escalera y las habitaciones están muy bien cuidadas.

Bilbao Akelarre Hostel está muy bien situado en el barrio de Deusto, Bilbao, a 18 min a pie de Estadio de San Mamés, a 1 km de Centro de Conferencias Euskalduna y a 3,4 km de Puente de Calatrava. Really clear communication about check in, clear and helpful directions, really nice staff. Very clean facilities felt very safe. Nice common room with clean little kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator, cutlery plates and a few spices) that make saving money preparing food a breeze. Thank you very much for my stay!

Lamia BBK Women Hostel-Solo mujeres se encuentra a 17 min a pie de Estación de metro de San Mamés y ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado en Bilbao. Warm welcome. Felt very safe. Nice to be out of the tourist area. Facilities close by. Great kitchen. Grocery shop close by for groceries. Lively to have an all women’s hostel…very special.

Moana Eco Surf House tiene jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y restaurante en Sopelana. El alojamiento dispone de bar y se encuentra a 11 min a pie de Playa de Arrietara-Atxabiribil. It was such a lovely stay at Moana Eco Surf House. We liked all the activities hotel provided us such as Surfing lesson, Skateboard lessons (free), and also morning Yoga (free). They was really great. All teachers are so professional. We liked the skatepark downstairs and breakfast was also great! Thank you Ms. Arancia and everyone for all your kind help while we stayed there.

Pension Iruna se encuentra en Santurce, a 2,3 km de Puente de Vizcaya y a 9,3 km de Bilbao Exhibition Centre. Todo muy limpio y cómodo. La atención estupenda. Gracias

Albergue Bide-Ona se encuentra en Portugalete, a 7,3 km de Bilbao Exhibition Centre y a 11 km de San Mamés Rail Station. They were very well organized in getting pilgrims settled into their bunks. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of space to hang wet laundry. Someone even made coffee in the morning and gave out small pastries.
