The flat is located in an old traditional Upper Austrian farmhouse, which was built in the 14. century. It has been modernized serveral times but never lost its charm. Sitting on a steep hillside, it offers a wide panoramic view to the north of Austria and overlooks the traditional landscape with its small-scale farms, fruit trees, fields and meadows and beautiful rolling hills that are typical for Upper Austria.
Maria and Christoph and their adult children are looking forward to hosting you. Additionally, our cats will love to meet you! If you have any special wishes or need a recommendation for for example a hike or a restaurant just ask us, we will do our best to help you.
In Steinbach you will find two restaurants, a lovely public swimmingpool, a few places to go into the river, some nice hikes and bike paths and a small supermarket. You can go skiing at Höss (35 minutes by car) or Wurzeralm (45 minutes) or visit Steyr or Kalkalpen National Park. Some hikes start next to our door. Also, our very own private swimmingpool and sun deck are lovely for relaxing 'at home'.
