They are able to imitate other bird calls and swap types frequently. You may also get a chance to see Wallaby's and Wombats in their natural habitat too. Lyrebird Gully Retreat has a sense of tranquillity matched by few other accommodation facilities. There is no Phone Reception (but is available at the main gate), so it's the perfect place to unwind and relax. Lyrebird Gully Retreat has an outdoor entertainment area where you can sit around a campfire and enjoying hearing the sounds of the bush whilst having a BBQ and watch the stars in the night sky. There are walking tracks in the bush to experience nature in a temperate rain forest setting. A giant mountain ash tree resides just over a 100 m away. There is an outdoor Dunny (as well as indoors) with a spectacular view of the bush. Spacious decking with a hot bath and outdoor seating. For cooler nights there is a wood-fire in the living room.
