This family-run hotel and cafe is housed in a beautiful half-timbered building on Brilon’s historic market square, at the start of the Rothaarsteig hiking trail. WiFi is free in all areas of Hotel Café Starke. Built in 1907, Hotel Starke Brilon provides rooms with a TV and a private bathroom with shower. Some rooms also offer a balcony. All rooms are unique. A rich breakfast buffet is served at the hotel or on the outside terrace. Guests can enjoy house specialities such as herbal liqueurs as well as home-baked cakes and tarts. The surrounding Sauerland countryside is ideal for hiking and cycling, and Brilon Golf Club is 2.5 km away. Guests are also welcome to relax in the bar or in the traditional wine cellar of the Hanseatic town of Brilon, where wine and whiskey tastings are held, also with an accompanying menu on request. A private car park is available at Hotel Starke, and free public parking spaces can be found nearby. It takes 40 minutes to drive to Paderborn, and Dortmund is only a 1-hour drive away.
