Having been pilgrims for many years, in 2023 we decided to put our rucksacks down and combine our 70 years of work to create L'ESCALE DE VARAIRE and start welcoming pilgrims and holidaymakers to this wonderful département of the Lot, which offers magnificent scenery, a wide range of activities and an incredible culinary and gourmet diversity.

TWO LODGINGS, TWO IDEAS OF SIMPLICITY AND AUTHENTICITY Located in Varaire, a charming and discreet village in the heart of the Causse de Limogne, our charming old farmhouse consists of two houses renovated with a certain idea of autonomy and ecology: water filtration, rainwater recovery, solar power plant, waste sorting, vegetable garden, compost and dry toilets. 1-Our FOUR A PAIN room for pilgrims (GR®65, 36 and 46), hikers and other travellers: equipped with a queen-size bed and a wood-burning stove for your winter comfort and pleasure, where you can rest and regain your strength. 2-HOUSE 1765 for families or groups of friends: rated 3 stars and able to accommodate up to 9 people, opens its doors to you.
