Le Mas La Thèbaïde – Provençal charm and timeless elegance in the heart of the Alpilles In the heart of the charming village of Paradou, nestled among olive trees, cypress and the golden light of the Alpilles, lies Mas La Thèbaïde, an ancient house full of soul and sweetness, once home to Charles Henrie Riou, known as Charloun Rieu, a 19th-century Provençal poet. On the ground floor, a beautiful living space combines a sitting room, dining area, and open kitchen. It’s a place where one can gather around a meal, a fireplace in winter, or a drink at the end of the day. One bedroom (with a 160cm bed) and a bathroom provide simple and elegant comfort on the same level with direct access to the garden and pool. Upstairs, three more bedrooms (one with a 160cm bed and three with 140cm beds) welcome family and friends. A shower room and separate toilets complete this area. Outside, a landscaped garden extends the house. Armchairs, sun loungers, a plancha, a tool shed… everything is designed for enjoying sunny days in complete simplicity. Located at the edge of the road, the house lives at the village's rhythm: a passing footpath enlivens the surroundings without altering the charm of the place. Paradou is a small, discreet and authentic village, where one enjoys the sweetness of life as much as true conviviality. It boasts superb restaurants, from market cuisine to gastronomic addresses, and a festive and warm atmosphere that animates summer evenings. Everything is accessible by foot or by bike, at your own pace. One can wander through the alleys and enjoy the proximity of Maussane, Les Baux-de-Provence or Saint-Rémy. Hello and welcome to Mas La Thébaïde. I'm a lawyer working in Paris. I've known this region since I was a child, and I've always dreamed of owning a house here. During a stay here, I fell in love with the authentic charm of this farmhouse, steeped in history. The house was once home to the poet Charles-Henri Riou, giving it a special soul. It's a place where I regularly come to recharge my batteries with my three children, my sister, her daughters and our parents.
