Numéro 34 is a typical Charentais long house built in 1802 and was one of the first houses in the original hamlet as therefore often has Chez Primo added to its address. The interior was modified specifically to provide modern Chambre D'hotes facilities but retains many of the original features including wooden floors and limestone walls.
Sue and John are English and after many years holidaying in France have decided to make France their permanent home. We look forward to welcoming you to Numéro 34.
Burie is a medium size community of 1200+ people and is well equipped with a small supermarket, bank, florist, boulangerie, pharmacy, bar tabac and doctor's surgery. Burie is set amongst the vineyards, which provide wonderful cycling & walking opportunities. It is the capital of Pineau Charente (a unique blend of grape musk and Cognac). Burie is situated between Cognac and Saintes, two major historic towns bordering the picturesque Charante River . The beautiful beaches of the Côte Sauvage are only an hour away by car.
