Great location to visit Glenmorangie. Be sure to drive there (not walk or taxi). The inn was lovely and very comfortable. I wish we could have stayed there longer. Breakfast was simple but fine. Ate dinner at Green's and it was excellent!

St Duthus Villa Guesthouse is a Traditional Dwelling dating from 1870's. All rooms have been fully renovated with modern, bright en suite shower rooms. The bedrooms are large, bright and airy, with large flat screen smart TV's. They are neutral and contemporary, retaining many original features. The rooms all have tea/coffee making facilities. Spacious dining area with large windows to enjoy the garden views.

Under an hour from Inverness, Tain and the surrounding peninsula have all the benefits of being close to the city – and Tain itself is a reasonable-sized town – but with the feeling of being in the countryside, with a patchwork of farmland, coastal walks and pretty villages. Tain itself, sat on the south shore of the Dornoch Firth, is small but a lively town, with an array of cafes and shops. There are several museums, art galleries and potteries to explore, and the famous Glenmorangie distille
