The Shepherds hut was lovingly hand crafted and designed to be an off-grid safe haven and peaceful escape from busy lives. There is a little story in everything from the vintage sheet music on the walls which was my great grandmothers from 1860, she was a pianist, to some of the art prints I created inspired by my therapeutic work. I have added art materials and games to help you unwind through creative outlets and play. I have made it as beautiful as possible for your maximum enjoyment and rest. The hut is solar powered and has a lovely shower room with modern composting toilet.
I am Nicky, I love about 15 mins from the Nest's location so can be on hand to help with anything you need during your stay. I am passionate about well-being and mental health and work as a Somatic Sexologist and trainee councilor. I mostly work with trauma survivors and LBGTQ people. I love anything spiritual, yoga, being in nature, getting creative and when I'm not working i'm likely in the gym. If you'd like to book any treatments during your stay I can offer Yoga and energy healing or talking therapy if you'd like to make your stay a mini retreat.
The local area is beautiful. The farm is very peaceful. You will occasionally find sheep or cows in the Shepherds hut field and you may hear the odd tractor. There is a local cafe and well stocked shop that does amazing sandwich! Or Battle is the nearby small market town that has many bars, cafes and restaurants as well as some lovely independent shops. There's lots of walking nearby and your about 20 mins drive from Hastings. Locally there are many beautiful land marks and National Trust properties.
