VILLA JASMINE is a beautiful old stone house dating back to the 19th century which has been recently renovated to a very high spec. It is full of historic character and because it is above the quayside it is quiet and has wonderful views over the picturesque bay of Vis as well as out to sea. In the evening it gets fantastic views of the setting sun as it dips behind the hills. The villa is very close to the seafront and beaches, and a short walk to shops and restaurants on the lively quayside in Kut. Please note: there are steps down to the quayside so the villa is not suitable for anyone with serious mobility issues (but we are in our 70's and they are not a problem at all!) The villa offers 3 spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite ultra-modern shower rooms, and all with lovely views. Each bedroom has an extra large king-size bed. In Bedroom 2 the super king-size bed will convert to two 3ft single beds if preferred. Please request. If there are 7 guests we can also provide a folding guest bed, suitable for a child or small teenager which fits best in Bedroom 2. If you have infants in your party we can provide up to two travel cots, free of charge. Outside are 2 big terrace gardens, one with a huge marble dining table, beautifully lit at night, for memorable meals at the villa. The upper terrace is spilling with jasmine and bougainvillea and is the perfect spot for sunbathing. There are plenty of quality sunbeds, several parasols, and of course it has a wonderful private pool with great views over the unspoilt, charming bay of Vis. Below the villa we also offer the Jasmine apartment, which sleeps 2-3. This can be booked separately if there are more guests in your party. (see Jasmine Apartment on this site). However, if you just wish to use the villa you will find that the apartment is totally separate, below the villa, with its own entrance and terrace, facing a different aspect, so that villa guests and apartment guests are completely private from each other.

We are an English couple who love sailing, sunshine and the sea. We fell in love with the Croatian islands 20 years ago and have been visiting regularly ever since. We found what we believe is the perfect island - Vis! For us it's the Mediterranean as it used to be, without commercialisation, but with loads of beauty and charm. Then five years ago, we bought a big derelict property, which we renovated to make Villa Jasmine and the Jasmine Apartment, which is below the villa.

We have many regular guests who visit every year and they agree with us that Vis is a very special island. Once you've discovered it you'll wonder why you didn't know about it before ... but it's because its visitors want to keep its charms a secret, for fear it might be spoiled! It has beautiful Venetian architecture, pretty cobbled lanes, crystal clear waters and friendly people. What more could you want?
