Our family moved to Hestheimar 2016 . It´s a family run company, which focuses on good dining, relaxed atmosphere. We love to have guests and running Hestheimar is our passion and work. All guests are welcome.

Property information

Hestheimar is brilliantly located in South Iceland, only 1 hours drive from Reykjavik, as well as from Gullfoss, Geysir, volcano Hekla, Eyjafjallajökull, Þingvellir, Westman Island and, black beach Reynisfjara, Skógarfoss, Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi and more. The surroundings are beautiful and the view outstanding. This is a friendly and homely place.

Neighbourhood information

Hestheimar offers peaceful location, yet only 3 km from Road number 1. View over volcano Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull, the Westman Islands and more. 2 hot pots outside and horses all around the premises. We are happy to assist you with our travel plans and a big map of Iceland. Short drive to the famous waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss, as well as to the ferry to the Westman Islands. Great hiking opportunities in the fields around Hestheimar.
