Abrams Creek is near many extraordinary recreational sites, but is also its own destination. You are never far from our wild, whitewater stream that runs through a majestic hemlock forest. The cabins are rustic. Cabins A through E have electricity and heating. These also come with a microwave and small refrigerator. Cabins F through K do not have electricity and heating but do come with battery-powered permanent lighting. All cabins have a propane tabletop stove that uses the (approximately) 1 lb bottles and a charcoal grill free of charge, and we offer propane bottles and charcoal for sale onsite. The cabins are fully furnished with beds, chairs, table, and other necessary furnishings, but our guests supply their own pillows, blankets, sheets, towels, pots, pans, plates and tableware. All cabins have private porta-potties close to the cabin, and access to a shared shower facility that is either near or in the lodge house (where you check in), depending on the season, with cabin Z being the closest to the showers. Drinking water is available onsite year-round- in the warm season, it is at several locations throughout the campground, and in the cold season, it can be found in the back of the lodge house. We also offer less rustic accommodations at very affordable prices – the two-bedroom retreat cottage, which has an in-house bathroom, as well as rooms at another property nearby, the Mountaineer Motel. Near the lodge house and office there is access to a phone with free calls anywhere in the US. There is no WiFi at the cabins, but there is WiFi in the vicinity of the main lodge house.

We are located within 30-45 minutes of many major recreational areas, including Blackwater Falls, Swallow Falls, Dolly Sods Wilderness, the Youghiogheny River, several ski resorts, and Deep Creek Lake. The nearby town of Thomas (around 30 minutes away) has a popular music venue. Mount Storm (3 miles) has a general store, gas station, library, motel, sports and recreation store, and public park.
