The best features of our property is that the guests have their own privacy but still have the ability to use the grounds. The cabins are close enough to each other that you can visit with your neighbor. But yet we have 26 acres that is available except for the donkey pasture. We have donkeys that come to the fence when guests arrive waiting for them to feed them carrots or apples. There are wild flowers in season throughout the property. As you sit on your front porch in a rocking chair, there is a view of 30 thousand acres across the road looking toward the sunset. You might even see turkey's or deer roaming the property. We have been in the area for over 30 years and know a lot about what is available to do and see.

My husband started to put up antique water pumping windmills on our property. We started letting people come in and look at the windmills, and then went to the idea of a bed and breakfast. Each couple has their own cabin and privacy but can still enjoy the quiet countryside. You can take a guided tour by my husband about the windmills. We are close enough to Granbury to enjoy the Opera House theatre and Granbury Live and shopping on the Granbury Square. Glen Rose has a lot to offer with Fossil Rim and Dinosaur Park. We are very friendly people and enjoy talking with people. We spent 20 years in the Navy and had to adjust to new surroundings on a short notice. I manage the B&B and my husband takes care of the windmills and makes repairs on both the windmills and the cabins as needed. Ruby tells a story about bringing pails of water to the house from the windmill to be used in the house. It was also her job to turn off the windmill if a storm came up. This would fill up the tank and it wasn't good for the windmill to run in high wind. Her father would not like it if the tank ran over and the water was wasted and the pigs got in the mud.

We are close enough to towns that the guests can engage in shopping, theatres, wineries, and other events in the area.
