We’d like to welcome you to The Lapa Hillcrest, a private unit where you can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of our little piece of paradise.
Nestled in a green belt in the Valley of a Thousand Hills, The Lapa is the perfect base from which to explore the treasures that KwaZulu-Natal has to offer. These include:
• Durban, with its Golden Mile and uShaka Marine World – 30 minutes’ drive
• The Midlands Meander, with its many shops and restaurants – 1.5 hours’ drive
• Howick Falls, and the Nelson Mandela Capture Site - 1 hour’s drive
• Summerveld Racehorse Training Complex, where you can watch the horses getting ready for the Durban July while have a lovely breakfast or lunch at the Clubhouse – 20 minutes’ drive
• The many attractions of the Drakensberg
• Krantzkloof Nature Reserve and picnic site – 15 minutes’ drive
• Inanda Dam – 30 minutes’ drive
• It’s also a central base to stay for those taking part in the Comrades or Dusi marathons
The Lapa is situated in an area that is rich in birdlife, and we often get servals and even the odd duiker wandering around.
