Almost everything about this hotel was quality. The common areas where open and airy with high ceilings covered in decorative clay tiles and comfortable seating. The gardens were beautifully laid out and maintained. All staff were friendly and helpful. I had the most wonderful massage too. Each evening there is an hour of music in the lobby. Indian classical on the evening we were there. The pool overlooking the lake was such a treat with the added bonus of magnificent sunsets. There is security staff too and a maned gate at the entrance. Even though the hotel is located at bit remotely, the quiet road allows for some peaceful strolls in the surrounding area.

Sitting by the picturesque Vembanad Lake, the charming Taj Kumarakom Resort and Spa is housed in a colonial bungalow built in the late 1800s.

We were received by Ms. Priya in the reception like Maharajahs. We felt that we were in a different world. the hospitality was world class. Facing the the Vembanad Lake, the Hotel Cocobay Resort Kumarakom is surrounded by tropical greenery. Accessible only by boat, it features an outdoor pool, a yoga centre, and a restaurant.

The breakfast was good, - fresh cut fruits & juices, toast & eggs, sausages, hash brown, etc. The various traditional Kerala dishes we had for lunch and dinner were very good too. The service staff did a good job, particularly Musa. The property is very well maintained, both inside and out. The traditional tiled roofs look great in the verdant settings. There's a spa and an outdoor swimming pool too for those interested. The property faces the great Vembanad Lake, so a great view is guaranteed at all times, and particularly at sunset. Cormorants, egrets and herons are seen by the lakeside. The access to the property from the car park is by a short boat ride on a village canal which adds to the atmospherics. We enjoyed walking through the neighbouring village and interacting with the friendly villagers.

Booking the Ameya Resort was one of the best decisions that we made during our trip to Kerala! This place is a paradise on earth. From the facilities to the staff - everything was pure perfection. **Advise to all of the travellers; if you want to have a boat trip on the black waters of Kerala, I would recommend to do it from this location instead of Alappuzha (Ameya resort can arrange that for you). We took boat trips in both locations, and it was much less crowded and the views were more spectacular from this side of the Vembanad lake.

We have been in this beautiful house facing the see. Riyas and his family are truly polite and treated us really well. The room was so clean, really comfy and it’s been beautiful sleeping with the sound of the waves.

Very calm and serene location. Perfect place for a get away. The best part was the pettable and friendly dogs around and the sound of nature. While the property is not a luxurious one, it still is a home away from home with all the facilities and a steal deal for the rate..The best part is Swiggy delivers to this place despite being a place secluded from all the commotions. Manu was exceptionally helpful in arranging houseboat trips and visits to local places. I'd strongly recommend this place as a spot for workation. Rating 4.75/5

It was exactly what I was looking for. A happy place to relax and unwind at the beach. From the first moment it took my breath away, I felt as I was in Greece. Super white beach, blue ocean and more than friendly hosts (Max, Soni and Anish) and incredible food. Impressed by the service and effort the made to fulfil every wish.
