This new hotel is fabulous. Right in the heart of Florence's shopping district and surrounded by history and art. We loved it, it was so elegant, nice to find a touch of glamour as so many modern hotels are rather dull. La Gemma delivers 5* quality from dawn to dusk. Nothing is too much trouble the staff are amazing, especially Gian Luca the hospitality manager, and Boldo the mixologist, made incredible cocktails for us. The food was out of this world, truly worthy of a Michelin* in my opinion. Beautifully presented plates and sleek service in the beautifully designed restaurant LUCA's. Even breakfast was a gourmet affair, with everything cooked fresh to order from an impressive menu, they catered for my gluten-free diet brilliantly. I had the best Eggs Benedict on the planet. All in all, La Gemma personifies Florence...glamorous, and beautiful, where one visit is never enough. We will be back.

This hotel is my favorite in Florence. I come to Florence 3-5 times a year, and this is my first choice every time, unless there is no room. The hotel is TOP 1 in my heart in terms of service, breakfast, and various facilities. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is just excellent. The stuff is very friendly, everything is shining, room service was just perfect. The spa and pool was very clean and neat. The location is very convenient, close to all the main sights, though the neighborhood is very quiet.

We had a spacious room in the annex with a nice view over the garden and the pool. The location is secluded so you certainly need a car to get around. The view from the pool towards the surrounding hills is so beautiful and relaxing. The breakfast was very good and so was the dinner we enjoyed twice there. And if you have space in your luggage, why not to buy a bottle of their self made spirits as a souvenir.

Great location. Spotlessly clean and fabulous staff. We had the room immediately above the entrance and it was great to watch the world go by but then, windows closed, and silence! Highly recommended.
