Food is always good at the Atlantico restaurant below the hotel. The location is brilliant, right on the beach. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Mar da Luz offers elegant accommodations between Praia da Luz and Burgau villages, 6 km from the seafront city of Lagos. It includes an outdoor swimming pool and free sauna.

Mar da Luz has very nice apartments. The apartments at the ground floor have a private swimming pool, the ones at the first floor have a big terrace with nice view over the ocean. Our apartment was big with two sleeping rooms and two bath rooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, two coffee machines (filter and capsules) and a toaster. There was a big smart TV and airco / heating system. Next to the big terrace (with the view over the ocean), there were also two smaller terraces. There is also a hot tub, but it seemed a bit old and not clean (so we didn't use it). The reception is located in the central building, next to a small fitness room (with some cardio machines, one (rather old) multi-function machine and enough dumbbells to keep your musles fit) and a spa area (with a small but nice indoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a nice sauna). The personnel and cleaning staff were really friendly. Wifi connection was good and fast. The resort is located in a very quiet neighborhood, 5 km out of the center of Luz. We were not in high season which could explain why it was also so quiet in the resort itself (it has 15 rooms, 6 were occupied when we were there in April). There are some restaurants close-by, but you need a car (or bike) to get there.

The resort is absolutely fantastic...was on holiday with my 3 kids from 5 to 14 and everyone loved it. My husband and oldest son really enjoyed the driving range and tennis court. The swimming pool and resort itself is immaculate. The resort feels so safe, I would highly recommend it but it's really ideal if you have a car.

Location is excellent. Out of the tourist area, but within a 15 minute walk of the river and the old town. Plenty of nearby free parking. Great restaurants and supermarkets close by. The apartment is very well equipped, and comfortable.

Cascade wellness and resort is a great place for us to stay and retreat ourself. There is hard for us to find nice hotel staffs from receptionist to house keeping staffs they are very helpful and nice. Beside that, their house bar staffs also provide incredible service by taking initiative to serve u better. Especially for me solo traveller, hard to choose what food to eat alone. But Mario, will give his concern to suggest me food that I can be able to finish alone. Food that he recommended all r so delicious. Because of Mr Mario's initiative, the business in the bar are very busy. Beside that, the reason I like cascade is, it located beside the clifftop, u can enjoy the natural beauty of the sea and there are different species of birds are around the hotel and I like that as well. If u like nature, here is the place for u.
