The temazcal sauna was an unforgettable experience; deeply relaxing and unique. I’d especially like to thank the staff for making my birthday so special with thoughtful room decorations and a surprise cake. Every moment here was filled with care and magic.

Incredible hotel on the lake with stunning views, facilities, and lovely staff. We’re a British couple in our late 20s and it’s one of our favourite hotels that we’ve ever stayed in. There is a shuttle boat that runs from the hotel to Flores island which is a pretty cool mode of transport. Few things we particularly liked: - The staff are accommodating offering great excursions (Tikal was the tour we did and enjoyed) and were very welcoming, particularly given our Spanish was very poor - the food at the hotel is really good, nice touch preparing the breakfast boxes too when we had early departures from the hotel - good drinks options too (beers and cocktails the highlight from our side, wine was expensive but that’s to be expected) - there are kayaks and pedalos free to use too which were a nice touch. - the room is stunning with beautiful views, good TV, impressive bathroom

Precioso hotel con una vista increíble al lago. Hermosa piscina, buen restaurante y servicio impecable. Un poco costoso, pero vale cada centavo pagado.

Este encantador hotel está situado en la Selva Petén del norte de Guatemala, a orillas del lago Petén. Ofrece fantásticas excursiones a las ruinas mayas del parque nacional de Tikal. Las habitaciones muy buenas, amplias y camas súper cómodas. La vista al lago es preciosa sobretodo al amanecer. La piscina y jacuzzi de 10. La playa del lago bien cuidada, y todo muy bonito.

Está situado en la isla de Flores, conectada por carretera con el lago Peten Itza. El Hotel Casona de La Isla cuenta con piscina al aire libre y bañera de hidromasaje. The room had 3 queen beds and was very spacious. We fit my spouse, 2 daughters and father with plenty of room and did not feel crowded at all. The view from the balcony was very pretty. The included breakfast (for the 3 adults only) was delicious and traditional. They offered a shuttle to the airport and even though we had to get there a couple hours earlier, we appreciated the free ride and the driver was great! They also had a bar with great views and the entire hotel was very clean. If we are lucky to return to this area again, we will definitely stay here.
