Location is super convenient, close to the natural pools and with enough parking spaces (either underground at the hotel, or the parking next door). Super helpful and friendly staff, willing to give recommendations for your days in Madeira. Breakfast, even though in a different building close by, was also delicious with multiple savory and sweet options. The room was spacious, with enough equipment to make your own food in the studio if you want. The bed and the pillows we also comfortable and the small terrace of the room gives enough space to relax after your excursions.

The natural swimming pools are a few steps away. Amazing location, waves crushing under the balcony, spectacular views of the sea and cliffs, two great restaurants on site - both view sea views. We also got a welcome drink as a surprise and all staff were most welcoming and helpful.

Guests can relax in the sauna at Melia Madeira Mare’s spa. Massage treatments and a steam bath are also offered. Our room had a large balcony and ocean view. The outdoor pool area and bar was a great place to relax. The nightly music was great. The location of the hotel to the waterfront restaurants and ocean swimming areas is outstanding.

The roof terrace sports a infinity pool, massage facilities and a 20-metre hot tub with views of Fort São João and the mountains. For further relaxation, Hotel Vine’s spa offers vinotherapy. The staff including Managers were very pleasant, accommodating and spoke perfect english. We travelled with our family of seven using 3 rooms. The breakfast was fantastic offering, cereal, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, coffees and my favourite freshly squeezed orange juice to name a few items. Our rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Separate large rooms for both the toilet and walk in shower. We had a great view of the sea port where the cruise ships were docked. The Vine has the best location in Funchal and is an easy walk to many attractions. This was my second visit to the Vine.
