Best value for money so far in Sri Lanka. Great location by the river. We saw some tree snakes, peacocks and chipmunks. Nice balcony to chill on with breakfast. Air con was perfect and adjustable. Nice towels.

Everything! The garden, the bungalow with it’s private space outside to chill, the common areas where people got together to drink, eat or just chat… It’s also a 1 minute walk from the beach and literally 30 seconds from awesome coffe shops and restaurants. The hosting family is kind and will help you with anything you need. I had the chance to know more about them and how midigama has evolved in the past 40 years. It was really interesting and they are the sweetest people. Also, 2 great surfing spots just a few minutes walk from the bungalows. I will surely come back! Thanks for everything!

A lovely place to stay. Super clean rooms with an incredible fan (I hardly even needed the AC the fan was that good!). Lovely garden to sit in to have the delicious and filling breakfast that they make (changes each day! - banana pancakes, omelette, Sri Lankan string hoppers and curry - always served with fruit). Across the road/down a lane way from a beach you can swim at, walking distance to lazy right and a few mins tuk tuk to popular surf spots (Marshmelows, lazy left and Kabalana). The owners are so kind. I came in very late from my flight and they were up waiting. I organised a taxi transfer with them which was fairly priced and easy to spot upon arrival. The driver was great. The accomodation like many other in the area is by the train tracks but I would only hear this around 6:30am or later. Thanks for a wonderful stay :)

Absolutely amazing, we stayed for 6 nights, and the stay at Vis ta Vie was the highlight our trip. A very cozy and neat villa, from the exceptional location, to waking up every morning two steps away from the beach to the most amazing hospitable staff. Abeetha, the exceptional boutique manager, and his team made us feel like home the moment we stepped in, Lahiru with his friendly service everyday, and Chef Roshan added to the magic with his outstanding breakfasts & exotic dinners. I loved my time at the lodge. The accommodation is run by a family and has been opened just some weeks ago. Not only does it look really beautiful and stilish, every little detail has been planned with love. There is a warm shower with good water pressure, the bed is incredibly comfortable and the food prepared by the mother is simply delicious! I did a cooking class with her and Malik gave me a tour of Galle. The center is not far away and the way to get there is fantastic! You are on your own in the lodge and have plenty of peace and privacy, but the family always welcomes you and ensures you have an unforgettable time. I will definitely come back and stay longer!

Hiresha and Sudeera made our stay at the property a delight, looking after our every need. Transportation, food, recommendations, everything. The property itself is stunning and spotless and the true meaning of Boutique. It's a little way from the beach but it's in the jungle with no sounds other than the wild life. There are little extras with this property that are noteworthy, the use of the kitchen if you like or the laundry room.

Very nice and cosy , authentic accommodation. The villa has a beautiful terrace. The owners and staff are very nice , direct and helpful to the end. They were immediately helpful with any request we had. The breakfast was plentiful , they also prepared European food on our request. The pool and surroundings are very nice and peaceful. We were the only ones in the villa , so it was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. It was like having a private accommodation with private staff.
