FranceTotally amazing place to stay, truly in the middle of the forest, beautifully carved out of the landscape, using nature to provide an oasis for the guests. The swimming pool is a dammed portion of river, the "rooms" are bamboo huts on stilts (but with a bathroom attached), the experience of feeling like you're really sleeping in the jungle is just amazing - but with all the mod cons. As is often the case though, it's the people who make the place. Gee and his team were super welcoming, the native dinner was fascinating and extremely good, as was breakfast, they made a real effort to show us different kinds of local food. On top of that we had a demonstration of native hunting techniques, and Gee arranged tours for us directly to make the most of the Cameron Highlands and the forest around us. Indeed, everyone at the Rain Forest Inn was amazingly friendly and helpful, we had a wonderful time.
