Sadly the pool wasn’t full as they had had some big rain. The owners were very apologetic though. We will visit again so we get to swim in the pool.

Best value for money so far in Sri Lanka. Great location by the river. We saw some tree snakes, peacocks and chipmunks. Nice balcony to chill on with breakfast. Air con was perfect and adjustable. Nice towels.

The garden, the bungalow with it’s private space outside to chill, the common areas where people got together to drink, eat or just chat… It’s also a 1 minute walk from the beach and literally 30 seconds from awesome coffe shops and restaurants. The hosting family is kind and will help you with anything you need. I had the chance to know more about them and how midigama has evolved in the past 40 years. It was really interesting and they are the sweetest people. Also, 2 great surfing spots just a few minutes walk from the bungalows. I will surely come back! Thanks for everything!

You sit on your own balcony surrounded by views of rain forest, mountain tops, birds in all colours. The extremely friendly host family prepares tasty sri lankan food, offer you fruits from their own garden - they have ALL sorts of interesting fruits depending on season. They show you around their tea plantage and all in all just makes you feel good. The cabana (cottage) has all basics and is very clean. This is not luxury, but I personally didn't miss anything. My best recommendations!

The lodge offers a terrace. Amazing value for money, everything is new from your room to furniture to kitchen utensils, owner is very respectful and easy to communicate, attentive and trying to get what you need. Located in a strategic area right between busy Ahangama and Midigama, right in front of the beach. I initially booked 2 nights and booked extra three nights, I’m definitely coming back! Guests at the lodge can enjoy cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. My stay at Mirissa Eco Hills was exactly what I needed! Located in a tranquil sanctuary of lush green foliage, I loved falling asleep to the sounds of nature outside. I arrived to a nearby bus stop and got a tuk tuk for the short journey to the accommodation. The owner Suronge is a delightful, accommodating and thoughtful host. He showed me where to walk to reach Mirissa, which ended up being a beautiful walk through the Sri Lankan countryside, a highlight of my stay in Sri Lanka so far. It’s not far, 20 mins walk. He recommended a restaurant to get the best and cheap Roti in Mirissa. In the evening Suronge even offered to pick me up some food or drink from the town as he thought I hadn’t eaten all day. Breakfast the next day was brought to my room at a time that suited me! I had delicious veggie roti, coconut pancakes, a banana and a pot of tea. There was a lot of love and care poured into the breakfast and it tasted delicious. Suronge was so kind, accommodated my check out time and ordered me a tuk tuk for when I needed it. The spacious room had a big four poster bed and a balcony that looked out to rice paddies. I enjoyed watching life pass by from up on the balcony. The bathroom had plenty of hot water too. My only wish is that I had more nights to stay here. Don’t hesitate, book this for your tranquil country side get away immediately. You won’t regret it! The value for money is incredible.
