It was an absolute treasure in terms of service, room space/quality, food, nature. Off the main road and set in a beautiful garden with spice trees. We had dinner there and had some of the best Sri Lankan vegetable curries so far on our trip. Owner organised transport from Ella and to Tangalle at a reasonable price as well as the jeep for the safari. The cottage was clean and had warm shower and AC.

Some units include a terrace and/or a balcony with river views. A green and beautifully run guest house where we really like to stay. The owners were some of the kindest people we met and went out of their way to give us advice and a smile! The owners talk to us very well. Dinner was perfect, very romantic and delicious buffet. We also booked a safari through them which we love, it was just the two of us in the jeep and we saw more elephants with a knowledgeable driver ( sujee ) .Definitely getting old. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. An amazing guest house with three rooms, and a large common area, located at the foot of dramatic and lush hill. We managed some very nice birding just sitting in the garden. A truly relaxing setting in nature. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the meals were delicious.

A buffet, Full English/Irish or Asian breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving American, Cajun Creole and Chinese cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. Everything was perfect! The room was really clean and spacious, and the host was incredibly kind. He even allowed us a late checkout since our safari ended at 12 PM and prepared a delicious breakfast for us to take along early in the morning. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Udawalawe.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. We were undecided about our National Park visit. We saw the evaluations for nature glow had, and it turned out they were 100% accurate. They organized a driver to pick us up and Ella and drive us to their magical accommodation. There are two accommodation villas located on a rise of land above a small creek entering a larger river. It's very much in the jungle with wildlife abounding. The air conditioning, which was important to us worked very well, and the bed, room and bathroom were all very good. Our hosts arranged for a safari driver for the two of us. The next morning we are up early and went on Safari in the national park. We saw many many elephants, both solo and in groups of females with their babies. And we also saw a variety of other wildlife. For us Sri Lankan food was a new experience. I fully recommend that you arrange to have your breakfast and dinner at the villa. The dishes were authentic and delicious. We were treated to a variety of different Sri Lankan food. Our host were wonderful people. They took pride and doing everything possible to make our stay as comfortable enjoyable and interesting as possible.
