Pretty good value for money (in this region of CA). It looks like owners live on the propoerty, and I felt they ensured the propoerty was safe (the larger area is quite frequented by people who do not appear to have a home). It is well looked-after (continuous improvements were being done). There was even a water dispenser in the laundry room for drinking water. We enjoyed having a freezer and fridge and microwave, made it much easier to handle food-supply for our little one. We purchased a travel bed and used that during our stay. All clean and neat. I am not a big fan of carpets in the rooms, but they were fine. Hopefully they will be the subjects of improvement soon :).

The Motel 6 is in a great location, just off the California 1 making it easy to travel up and down the coast, great for days out. However you cannot hear any noise from the traffic. It is close to a Walmart which is great for picking up supplies as well as some fast food places. There is car parking all around the motel, minimising the walk to your room which was very kindly pointed out to us by reception when we checked in. There was free tea and coffee in the mornings and vending machines, ice machines and laundry facilities on site. We had a room with 2 double beds, the linens were clean and layered, we never had to use the aircon in the room as it was nice and cool without it. There was a spacious desk, tv and sink outside the bathroom which is very convenient when getting ready in the morning.

Located in Monterey right off Highway 1 and 3.2 km from Monterey State Park, Seaside Inn Monterey offers free WiFi to all guests. This hotel offers free parking.

Very nice for the price. Older courtyard style, but very well kept up, with lovely landscaping.
