Hotels with Parking in Gnishik

Mariam was the star of this stay. A wonderful host that shared so much precious insight on Armenian culture, history and traditions. We chatted forever! The property is secluded and quiet which is exactly what we needed. There are a couple of rough patches driving up and the last few meters before the property is a dirt road but don’t let anyone scare you because it’s very easy to reach even with a very low clearance car as our rental. The food prepared for us for both dinner and breakfast was simply amazing. Tasty and earthy and home grown. Too bad we stayed only one night.

Gnishik is literally right at the end of the road, you can go no further, but the Eco Lodge certainly makes the journey worthwhile. The gent who let us in and gave us the keys was very pleasant and helpful and communication before arrival was excellent. It was made clear that the location was remote and that we would have to bring our food and drink with us. This was fine and the shared kitchen was very well equipped. We had a lovely en suite room upstairs with wonderful views from our balcony, especially of the beautiful rose garden in the back garden. We were also lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. There was a problem with the WiFi in the early evening, but it was quickly resolved and worked very well for us after that; not good enough to stream, but perfectly well for browsing, emails, etc. We parked in the drive in front of the Lodge, but there are zero security concerns. If you get the chance to visit, then we strongly suggest that you do. The drive south from Lake Sevan is truly spectacular. The last few kilometres of road were pot holed and slow going, but perfectly accessible if you drive slowly. Overall, this is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and relax and we loved our visit. Very highly recommended.

This place is a paradise that you don't hope to find in Armenia! The location is stunning - it is quiet, you are surrounded by nature, and it is beautiful scenery throughout the day. The facilities are spotless clean and everything is taken care with love, every small detail, everywhere you look. Every decoration is interesting, and the interior is very unique. We didn't expect it to be this great, but hands down, this is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed anywhere on our travels. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathrooms are very clean and new. Towels and sheets smell amazing. There are plenty of areas where to hang around inside, and they are all beautiful. We especially loved the swing above the place - what a perfect spot. The owner - another level of hospitality. He was always very attentive and making sure you were fine. We were gifted by the most delicious strawberries and pastries from his wife, and we were allowed to eat the berries that grew there. Not to mention, we shared coffee and nuts together and watched the most beautiful thunderstorm we have ever seen. We decided to stay extra (3rd) night, and needed to load our groceries, so he took us to the shop and back in the cleanest car we have ever seen 😍 The kittens in the yard are so lovely, and the husky dog Taiga is very sweet also. For the third night, we moved to the smaller house that is designed by the owner, and it is so authentic and cosy, you feel like you are staying in the countryside with 5 star hotel facilities. I could go on and on about this place, you have to come and experience it by yourself. This is not to be missed if you are in the area. Amaaaaaaazing views and a very homey place. It's totally worth staying here a little longer and exploring the surroundings.

If you want a glimpse of life in an authentic Armenian village home then this place is for you. I would recommend ordering their dinner if you would like to try wholesome local food. Their homemade wine was exellent - better than those I tried at the local wine tasting venues. The hostess was really helpful in giving me suggestions on places to visit in the area. I loved my time here.

We had a perfect stay from the welcome until good bye the other day. Both hosts were very nice and helpful, whatever we asked, it was provided. We had delicious dinner, home made wine and breakfast. The house was very clean, surroundings and the street very peaceful. If we ever return to Areni, we would definitely stay there again. Thank you very much - Andy & Silvia

The best part is the family that owns the place. They're the best. Good to visit the monasteries around that area. You can also have a good homemade dinner and breakfast there.

The room is new, clean and comfortable, with space and air conditioner. Anna is a very welcoming and dedicated person and she ensures everything is right. We had one of the best dinners in Armenia. When I return to Areni I will choose Areni Wine Cellar for sure.

It was an amazing experience from the very begginning- the communication with the facility was very quick, they answered all my questions ahead of our stay and we managed to book a dinner and wine tasting as well. The meal was just perfect! Tasty, rich, well prepared with everything you might want from Armenian dinner experience. The wine they make was delicious! If you plan a trip to this region, you should definitely stay with those guys. Eric was great. Rooms are simple, but there is everything you might need, beds comfortable.
