I loved it! Even though I was only there for one night, I'd recommend anyone staying there. Yes, the accommodation is basic, yes it's far away from everything, but the bus can drop you off at the closest intersection. From there it's a 5 minutes walk. I enjoyed everything. The host is so friendly, the view is amazing, bed's cozy, everything.

Amazing view, Alex was extremely welcoming, friendly and accomodating! We had some rain so we played some card games and the arcade game under in the alfresco.

I stayed here with my two girls (4yr, 6ys) and parents. We stayed in the house that has the beautiful balconies. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we reached the property safely when we took the wrong road. We arrived late and they were happy to give us Chocolate and pan. The rooms are spacious and comfy. Outside the windows are gorgeous gardens, at night its serene. The property has farm animals and a little walking track, a pool, and lots of places to explore. It feels like a home. There is a turnle in the water fountain that we loved to observe too. So much beauty and thoughtfulness are placed into every single corner of this place. I highly recommend staying here. It's also a short drive to the waterpark and other attractions.

A great place to stay while hiking the Camino Real. The pool was very refreshing after a long day in hot temperatures. I had the whole place to myself, and the meals were delicious. They have one private room, and several hammocks to sleep in. Can recommend.

La Hacienda is located a short taxi drive away from the busy San Gil, it was such a welcome break from all the noise after a few nights in town. Jane and Felipe are incredible hosts that will make you feel right at home since the minute you walk through the door. There are many spots around the property to sit back and relax and enjoy the views and tranquility. I cannot overstate this one enough: although there is a fully equipped kitchen available- don’t waste your time cooking, have Jane and Felipe prepare your meals!!! After months of rice and beans on the road (we’re vegetarian) their meals were like godsend. Jane’s spectacular curries, lasagna or falafel accompanied by Felipe’s freshly made pita, flatbread and garlic bread are reasons enough to go, I promise! Let’s not forget the pizza…. my mouth is watering just writing this. I cannot recommend them enough!!!
