The hutch is quite luxurious, well above the standard of comparable places we had in Costa Rica. The balcony at the back of the house has splendid views with lots of birds and butterflies flying and buzzing around. Hosts (including the two dogs) are really nice and friendly.

We arrived at 3pm at the place appeared deserted we looked for 30 minutes trying to figure out how to check in. We finally left so we weren’t on the steep roads after dark.

Our best accommodation on our month-long trip through Costa Rica, not so much for the amenities, which were fine, but mostly because of our host Lily, she is a great, always smiling and helpful person. Breakfast was very tasty, coffee, eggs or pancakes, always with fruit. The location was good too, walking distance about 10min to the centre of Santa Elena.

Absolutely gorgeous home in the lush forest. Well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The host Mayco was amazing and helped with everything, including taxis, restaurant reservations and all our questions.

We really liked the house: Nice sourroundings, spacious rooms and a friendly host who answered quickly to our questions. We were even allowed to use the washing machine, which was highly appreciated.

We were two families of 4 each . We had this big house where we could fit in with a extra bed on the floor but it worked fine. You are located in the heart of a farm family owned. The owner is Hermida, a lovely lady who is helped by the whole family, her grandson who speaks english came to welcome us. You have to take the breakfast and diner there, it is like being in Sra Hermida's kitchen. You eat fresh products from the farm. It is just a lovely location and they have so much to tell you about the place. We recommend 4x4 to explore Monteverde and to get to the house but the view is amazing from your lodge. Do not hesitate

Me and my boyfriend spent one night at Green Tree Lodge and I wish we could have stayed longer. The service was excellent, we were in the middle of the forest and we really enjoyed Monteverde and its attractions. Super recommended

The kindness of the owner is incredible. A very nice first impression upon arrival in Monteverde. Spacious room and bathroom, with hot water and big soft towels. Delicious fresh-made breakfast included, with coffee or tea and fruits. Good WiFi in the room. The room was equipped with a small fridge as well as a kettle (tea bags, cups and glasses were available in the room). The place is amazing with beautiful gardens around (there is a place to watch the sunset, the trail is with signs and on the top even are tables and benches to seat and enjoy amazing beauty). I recommend it to everyone.
